Ahmed H. Sadek, MD, FAAN, FACNS, FAES.
Medical Director

Dr. Sadek, Epileptologist, is the founder and Medical Director of Orlando Epilepsy Center. Dr. Sadek is an Ivy-League trained neurologist with a fellowship in the field of Epilepsy. He is triple board-certified in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology with great expertise in epilepsy management and monitoring of refractory epilepsy patients.

He received his medical education at Cairo University, Egypt where he held a faculty status before his move to the United States. Dr. Sadek received extensive training in neurology, neuroimaging, Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. He received residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He then completed a two year subspecialty fellowship training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA, which is recognized as one of the premier epilepsy centers in the country. Dr. Sadek also completed a two year neuroimaging research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and has authored numerous publications. He has been practicing as part of Neurological Services of Orlando since 2007.

Dr. Sadek opened the Orlando Epilepsy Center Monitoring Unit in 2011 in order to be able to closely monitor seizure patients in a comfortable, home-like environment instead of the traditional hospital setting.

Dr. Sadek is a member of the American Epilepsy Society, International League Against Epilepsy, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, and American Academy of Neurology.

He is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at University of Florida- Shands, Gainesville.

Tammam Dayyoub, MD
Epileptologist, Neurologist

Dr. Tammam Dayyoub is dual board-certified in Neurology and Epilepsy, with expertise in epilepsy management, monitoring of refractory epilepsy patients and surgical work up for refractory epilepsy patients.

He received his medical education at Latakia University, Syria, after which he completed a neurology residency at Damascus University before his move to the United States. Dr. Dayyoub received extensive training in neurology and epilepsy. In addition, of his previous neurology training in his home country, he received residency training at Henry Ford Health System at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan; then he completed subspecialty fellowship training in epilepsy at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Dayyoub joined the University of Oklahoma as an assistant professor in 2017. During his time there, he monitored and treated refractory epilepsy patients and patient with the full spectrum of neurological conditions.

Aisha N. Qazi, MD, MBA
Epileptologist, Neurologist

Dr. Qazi is dual board certified in Neurology and Epilepsy. She received her medical education from St. Matthews University in Grand Cayman, while also obtaining her MBA with a concentration in health administration. She completed her neurology residency at West Virginia University where she served as chief resident in her final year. She then went on to complete her epilepsy fellowship at the prestigious Vanderbilt University.

After completing her training, Dr. Qazi joined Drexel University College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in 2018 followed by working as an Epileptologist and Neurologist at Tower Health Medical Group outside of Philadelphia, PA. She is highly interested in epilepsy.

Kristen Batson
Assistant Director/Nurse Practitioner

Kristen is a board certified adult-geriatric nurse practitioner treating patients from the age of 13 through end of life. She graduated in 2011 from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She worked for several years as an RN while working on her master’s degree in nursing at the University of Central Florida.

She has been working with Dr. Sadek and his team since 2014 and has a passion for neurology and educating patients on their medical conditions. In her spare time she enjoys reading, working out, yoga, and traveling. Member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioner’s, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the American Epilepsy Society.

Jessica Madow
Nurse Practitioner

Jessica Madow is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She studied Biology and Spanish at Florida State University obtaining a bachelor’s degree in 2011. She later studied nursing at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, OH, graduating in 2015 with a master’s degree in nursing. She moved to Orlando to work as a registered nurse at Orlando Health on neurology floors with both adult and pediatric patients. Jessica graduated from the University of Central Florida’s family nurse practitioner program in 2019 and began working as a nurse practitioner at the Orlando Epilepsy Center.
Jessica has a passion for neurology and providing patient- entered care. In her spare time, she likes traveling to new places and spending time in Florida nature with her husband and dog.

Amarilys Roque Baz
Nurse Practitioner

A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Graduated in 1995 as a Doctor in Medicine, at Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba. She worked as Physician-Specialist in Cuba, for more than 15 years. She moved to USA since 2016 and continuous her studies in this country, earning in 2021 her MSN in nursing, specializing as Family Nurse Practitioner from Miami Regional University (MRU). 

Amarilys has a passion for helping the life-quality of her patients. Leilani Lim
Nurse Practitioner

Leilani is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated in 2017 from Indiana State University. She previously worked as a registered nurse in the neurology/neurosurgery nursing unit from 2008 through 2017 at AdventHealth Orlando. She loves to work with her patients and is devoted and committed to improve their health. Being a DAISY award recipient in 2011 is a testament to that dedication recognizing her skillful and compassionate care of her patients as a nurse. As of 2017, she began working as a nurse practitioner in neurology continuing her passion of caring for patients in a different capacity. She joined Dr.Sadek and his team in December 2021.
She continues her efforts on treating and helping patients who are suffering from various neurological conditions. She enthusiastically serves a multi-cultural patient base with a purpose-driven quality care, and treating everyone with respect, love, and compassion. She loves to inspire others with their spiritual growth by doing inspirational talks and discourses through live streaming sessions. She loves to try out new foods and recently picked up a new hobby of biking with her husband and daughter for more quality bonding time. Member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Maniya Nova Serra

Maniya Nova Serra
Nurse Practitioner

Maniya is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She graduated in 2018 from Purdue Global University. She worked for several years at the Intensive Care Unit at Advent Health, Altamonte Springs. She transitioned to nurse practitioner role in 2019, initially specializing in Endocrinology. She then shifted to Neurology focus in 2020. She admits that developing her zest for Neurology was a long climb, but gaining understanding and experience made her strong, appreciate and love the beauty amidst the complexity of the specialty. She finds joy and satisfaction in engaging and working closely with her patients, leading them to better health. She joined Orlando Epilepsy Center’s team in Oct, 2022. Member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners.On her spare time. Maniya loves to travel and explore different cultures with her family.

Jessica Settineri
Nurse Practitioner

Jess is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified both through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Southern College and worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at AdventHealth. Her passion for patient advocacy and preventative care led her back to school, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from her alma mater while still working as an RN. She joined Orlando Epilepsy Center in February 2023.

A native Floridian, she loves spending her free time gardening, going to the beach, and hopping between theme parks. She aspires to continue growing her passion in Nursing and patient advocacy through research and education opportunities.

Stephanie Prieto

Stephanie Prieto
PA-C

A board-certified Physician Assistant who joined Orlando Epilepsy Center in April 2023. She graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2015 and then obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Barry University. Stephanie has always had a strong passion for patient care, which led her to pursue a career as a Physician Assistant. In 2022, she obtained a degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Florida State University College of Medicine. Stephanie strives to provide quality and compassionate patient care to all her patients.

Stephanie enjoys traveling, spending time with family, running, outdoor activities, and cooking.

Shardly is a board certified family nurse practitioner who is able to provide a broad array of health care services to patients of all ages (infants, adolescents, adults, and seniors). In 2010, She graduated with an associate degree in nursing at Herzing University; in 2014, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing at the Saint Petersburg State College, then acquired her FNP/master’s degree at Purdue University.
Shardly launched her first job as a nurse practitioner at the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit with Dr. Sadek. She is passionate about providing competent, holistic, compassionate and individualized care to all her patients. On her spare time, Shardly enjoys gardening, shopping, reading, home remodeling, traveling and exploring different cultures. Her goal is to work as a volunteer at the shepherd’s hope community Clinic and to professionally grow in her career as a healthcare provider.

Anabelle Tan
Nurse Practitioner

Anabelle is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2003 and previously worked as an RN in the medical-surgical unit and surgery. She graduated in 2021 with a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing as a family nurse practitioner from Purdue University Global. She is passionate about providing care to a patient suffering from neurological problems. She joined Orlando Epilepsy Center in June 2022. Anabelle is adventurous eater. She loves exploring foods from different cultures. Also, she enjoys spending her free time watching movies, biking, going to the beach, and dining out with her family. Member of Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society and American Association of Nurse Practitioner.

Feline Estivaine
Nurse Practitioner

Feline has been in the healthcare profession for almost 20 years. She has worked for Orlando health for 10 years in telemetry MedSurg. Feline attended Chamberlain University for her masters in nursing with a specialty in family medicine. Feline volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and Shepherds Hope. She has also volunteered with the seventh day Adventis Florida conference in the community during their annual health fair. Feline joined the Epilepsy monitoring team January 2022 and is excited about her journey in the field of Epilepsy.

Nerina Sebastian

Neina Sebastian
Nurse Practitioner

Naina is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from India. Her family moved to Florida, United States in 2008 and she started working as a registered nurse with AdventHealth. With her deep passion for teaching, she graduated with a master’s in nursing education from the University of South Florida (USF), Tampa, and started teaching nursing in 2016. Her commitment to lifelong learning is proven by the completion of the Doctor in Nursing Practice (DNP) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program at Maryville University, Missouri in 2021. Currently, she also teaches nurse practitioner programs at different universities. She is dedicated to patient care and with her adept experience in nursing, she provides safe care to her patients. Naina started working as a nurse practitioner in the Orlando Epilepsy monitoring unit in 2022. Her hobbies are reading and traveling with her husband and daughter. Member of American Nurse Association (ANA) & Florida Nurses Association (FNA).
